Connect. Believe. Achieve.

Connect. Believe. Achieve.

You Have the Power Power to Shape Your Life

What do I truly desire?

A question that often leads to a complex and vague answer.

What is it that we truly desire? A question that often leads to a complex and vague answer. Some may know their wants, while others believe more money or extravagant possessions will fulfill their hearts. Yet, pursuing "more" can be an endless journey, always seeking but never genuinely arriving.

The truth is defining our desires is often more complicated than it seems. There are many aspects of our lives and much to consider when we think about what we truly desire.

Surprisingly, statistics from Dreammakers, an organization that conducted extensive research, reveal that only 5% of people know what they want from life, leaving many of us searching for our deepest desires. Drawing from over 15 years of research and interviews with people of all ages, Dreammakers uncovered a compelling list of what many seek in life:

  1. Love: To have love in our lives.

  2. Health: Good health and well-paying jobs.

  3. Appearance: Looking great.

  4. Physical Wellness: Achieving fitness and shedding weight.

  5. Knowledge: Gaining new insights.

  6. Family: Spending quality time with loved ones.

  7. Safety: Being free from harm, pain, and danger.

  8. Ease: Finding comfort in daily life.

  9. Pleasure: Fulfilling desires and wants.

This awareness led to compiling a list of desires, including Material Pursuits:

  1. A spacious house.

  2. A stylish car.

  3. Fashionable attire.

  4. Dining out without financial worries.

  5. Budget for luxury travel.

  6. Connections with influential individuals.

  7. An appealing life partner.

  8. Emotional Needs:

  9. Have at least one true best friend.

  10. Feel free from social criticism

  11. Know that we are making a difference

  12. Know yourself and feel at ease with yourself.

  13. Live without regret.

  14. Live without self-limitation.

  15. Look and feel great.

  16. The ability to express our views.

  17. Age gracefully.

  18. The confidence to chase dreams.

Although, sometimes, specific goals to achieve desired dreams are the key to happiness, it's common for individuals who fulfill their sought-after dreams to discover that these accomplishments can lead to emptiness.

In a world fixated on material wealth and fleeting pleasures, the true wealth lies in the profound riches of life: Joy, peace, and happiness. These are the factors that will give the true wealth of joy, peace, and happiness:

  1. Mindset: A positive mindset forms the foundation of all wealth.

  2. Health: It is good health that we hope stays the same with time.

  3. Relationships: It begins with self-love, radiating outward.

  4. Freedom from Fear: To be truly wealthy is to be fearless.

  5. Dreams and Achievements: Wealth means realizing your dreams.

  6. A Fulfilling Career: A source of joy, growth, and betterment.

  7. Faith: The basis of miracles, connecting to the universe.

  8. An Open Mind: Embracing diverse perspectives.

  9. Sharing: True wealth is in sharing happiness.

  10. Self-Discipline: Mastering your habits and commitments.

  11. Understanding People: The foundation of harmonious relationships.

  12. Financial Security: Tangible wealth, but not the sole source.

Today, challenge yourself with a profound question: What do you truly want? Listen to your heart and observe your actions. Deciding your desires and taking the first step can be challenging. If you're unsure where to start, ask yourself, "What do you want?" It might unveil your path to true wealth.

Ultimately, human desires center around feeling safe, loved, accepted, and purposeful. Necessities like food, shelter, and clothing are universal. Uncover your unique goals and what motivates you, for it is the essential key to shaping your life. Your journey begins now, and within you lies the power to unlock your deepest desires.

Overcoming the Knowing and Doing Gap

Embrace Your Power to Shape Your Life

How can embracing your power to shape your life lead you toward a more fulfilling and purpose-driven journey?

~Why Not~

I was putting off an issue I needed to address. Every time I thought about it, I came up with an excuse as to why I could continue procrastinating rather than tackle the issue head-on. One day, I asked myself - why not – address the issue. This presented me with the opportunity to do deep and do some self-reflection. I had to get to the core of why I was ignoring the problem. This deep reflection shed light on the situation, and I was able to address the actual issue at hand and move forward.

Have you ever asked yourself this simple yet profound question? Have you ever felt the weight of knowing what you should do but struggling to take that necessary step? If so, have you taken the time to reflect on why you have not taken action on something you recognize as essential?

Many of us have found ourselves in this situation. We know what to do but struggle with actually doing it.

I Started Thinking:

Why don't we act on what we should? I wanted to understand the gap between knowing and doing. I realized there is a multitude of reasons that contribute to this common dilemma, specifically obstacles that we all face:

  • Procrastination

  • Fear of failure

  • Lack of motivation

  • Feeling overwhelmed by certain tasks

  • Striving for perfection

  • Absence of self-discipline

  • Emotional barriers

  • Habitual behaviors

How to Bridge the Gap Between Knowing and Doing:

Transitioning from knowing what to do and taking action requires us to recognize the factors at play and actively address them. We possess the power to turn intentions into actions. Here are some steps to take to bridge the gap:

  1. Set Clear, Achievable Goals: Break down your aspirations into clear, manageable goals. This makes the path forward more manageable and achievable.

  2. Address Emotional Barriers: Identify and confront emotional obstacles, such as fear, self-doubt, or past traumas. Seek support or counseling if needed to overcome these hurdles.

  3. Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness techniques can help you stay focused on the present and reduce anxiety about the future. They can also increase your awareness of your habits and thought patterns.

  4. Seek Support: Be bold and seek guidance and support from mentors, coaches, or trusted friends. Sometimes, an external perspective can provide valuable insights. Sharing your goals and progress with someone can help you stay on track and hold you accountable.

  5. Visualize Success: Visualize yourself completing the tasks you know you should be doing. This can boost motivation and make the goal seem more attainable.

  6. Celebrate Small Wins: No matter how small, every victory is a step closer to your goals. Celebrate your progress and let it motivate you.

Benefits of Taking Action:

The benefits include personal growth, achievements, happiness, and fulfillment. You'll experience increased self-confidence as your belief in your abilities grows with each successful action. Taking action can lead to personal growth, pushing you out of your comfort zone, helping you learn from your experiences, and encouraging the development of new skills. Achieving your goals and realizing your dreams brings profound joy and fulfillment, providing your life purpose and meaning. Moreover, taking action builds resilience, equipping you to bounce back from failures, setbacks, and disappointments. Sometimes, taking action can lead to better health, as initiating a regular exercise routine or adopting a healthier diet improves physical well-being.

Finally, taking action in your relationships by communicating better, resolving conflicts, or making quality time for loved ones can lead to stronger and more meaningful connections.

Think about one action you've been delaying, and why not take that step today? What obstacle do you need to address? How can embracing your power to shape your life lead you toward a more fulfilling and purpose-driven journey?

Self-Love and Self-Care: Nurturing Your Well-Being

October is a month of awareness, recognizing both Depression and Breast Cancer. Focusing on well-being makes it the perfect time to emphasize the importance of self-love and self-care. In this blog, we'll explore the significance of these practices and how they can profoundly impact your life.

Love Yourself - You Can't Love Others Without Loving Yourself

The saying, "You can't love others if you don't first love yourself," holds a powerful truth. Self-love and self-care are foundational to a fulfilling life, and here's why:

  • The Best Gift to Others: The best thing you can do for your loved ones is to be good to yourself. You become better equipped to support and care for those around you by nurturing your well-being.

  • Kindness Starts Within: Extend to yourself the same kindness, mercy, forgiveness, and love you readily offer others. Treating yourself with the same care is not selfishness; it's the cornerstone of a healthier life.

  • Stop Self-Criticism: Often, we become our harshest critics, dwelling on our mistakes and shortcomings. But focusing on the negative doesn't propel us forward. Instead, let's acknowledge what's right with us, embracing self-compassion.

Embrace Your Unique Gifts and Talents

  • Celebrate Uniqueness: Each of us possesses unique talents and skills. Just as you admire the abilities of others, it's vital to appreciate your own. Your distinct gifts are meant to be shared.

  • A Path to Purpose: As you cultivate self-love, embracing your purpose and sharing your unique talents with the world becomes more manageable. Your journey to well-being and fulfillment starts with recognizing your worth.

Self-Care is Essential

Incorporating self-care into your life is crucial. Consider this:

  1. Connect with Nature: Spend time in nature to rejuvenate your spirit. The natural world has a remarkable way of nurturing our well-being.

  2. Honor Yourself: Recognize your worth and treat yourself with respect and kindness. Self-respect is a foundation for a healthier, happier life.

  3. Emotional Well-Being: Prioritize your emotional health. Seek support when needed and focus on healing and growth.

  4. Focus on What You Can Control: In an uncertain world, channel your energy into the aspects of life you can influence and change.

  5. Permission to Rest: Rest is a necessity. Give yourself permission to recharge both physically and mentally.

  6. Find Happiness: Make a conscious effort to find joy and contentment. Celebrate even the most minor achievements.

My Personal Journey: A Path to Self-Care

I want to share a personal part of my journey with you. While I am a breast cancer survivor, there was an earlier time in my life when I felt overwhelmed and disconnected from myself. Anxiety had taken hold of my life, and I realized I needed help. During that challenging period, I made a significant decision. I reached out and sought psychiatric help for my anxiety. It was a turning point, a moment of courage and vulnerability.

Therapy provided a safe place to confront my emotions, fears, and thoughts without the fear of judgment. Expressing those emotions out loud was a powerful release. It took me a while to learn that seeking help when you're overwhelmed or anxious is an act of self-love and courage, not weakness. Seeking help can set you on a path to healing and rediscovery.

Remember, it's okay not to be okay sometimes, but it's equally important to take action when you recognize that you need help. If you're experiencing anxiety or facing other mental health challenges, please know you're not alone, and support is available.

Appreciate Yourself

Take a moment to appreciate yourself as the masterpiece you are. By focusing on self-love and self-care, we can collectively create a world where well-being and self-care are at the forefront of our lives. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to seek it. Sometimes, reaching out for support is the greatest act of self-love and courage you can show yourself.

As you continue your journey, consider one small, actionable step you can take today to prioritize self-love and self-care in your life. Your well-being matters and your path to self-care begins with a single step. Continue nurturing your well-being with love and self-care.

The Transformative Power of Unwavering Belief: “It's Already Done”

"Soar with Unwavering Belief"

It’s already done

"It's already done" is a phrase that holds profound significance in my life. It's more than just a motivational mantra; it's a testament to the transformative power of unwavering belief. Let me share with you how I arrived at this powerful realization.

While faith has always been a part of my life, when I began pursuing my life's purpose, I truly grasped the importance of unwavering belief in achieving one's desires. I prayed for guidance to reveal my purpose, and this marked the beginning of a journey I couldn't abandon. Doubt and uncertainty became daily companions, challenging my faith and beliefs.

There were moments when quitting seemed like the easiest option, but deep down, I knew I had to persevere. I found my purpose and believed that God wouldn't let me quit. Then, one day, I stumbled upon a profound statement: "Your life will kick in when you get ready for it too." These words struck a chord with me, and I realized that the power to shape my life was in my hands. I decided to change my thinking and became intentional about visualizing my dreams. I started declaring that I had already achieved what I desired.

As I focused on this belief, my dreams and vision became sharper. I was transforming into a person of unwavering faith, certainty, and belief. When these elements aligned with my emotions, it became evident that "it's already done."

My journey toward fully integrating this belief into my life took time; it was a gradual climb. I had to be intentional in every aspect of my life to ensure that my faith, actions, certainty, and emotions aligned. This alignment became the cornerstone of my transformation.

Persistence became my unwavering companion. With every step I took, I inched closer to the realization that my goals weren't just dreams; they were tangible realities waiting for me. Over time, I observed subtle shifts in my life. The more I embraced the idea that "It's already done," the more my thoughts, actions, and energy aligned with that reality. The universe responded to my unwavering faith by orchestrating circumstances and opportunities that brought me closer to my goals.

Commitment was the glue that held everything together. I wholeheartedly committed to the belief that there was no other outcome but the one I envisioned. This unwavering belief became a rock-solid foundation upon which I built my dreams. Challenges and setbacks, once intimidating, transformed into stepping stones on my journey. I understood that believing "It's already done" infused me with the resilience to navigate any obstacle. Instead of perceiving obstacles as insurmountable roadblocks, I began to view them as temporary detours, guiding me toward my ultimate destination.

Confidence became my constant mate. As my faith in the certainty of success grew, so did my self-assuredness. I walked taller and exuded a confidence that attracted opportunities and inspired those around me. In moments of self-doubt, I turned to affirmations as my anchor. Each day, I spoke my belief into existence. I declared my dreams as facts, using positive, present-tense statements with unwavering conviction. This practice ingrained in my subconscious mind the absolute truth of my aspirations.

But faith without action is merely a dream. I needed more than just visualization; I had to work toward my goals actively, maintaining belief, certainty, and faith. Each day, no matter how small the action step, brought me closer to my dreams.

Today, I can confidently affirm that I've harnessed the power of "It's already done."

This belief has permeated every facet of my life with unwavering faith. It's not just a mantra; it's a way of life lived with intention and purpose.

Reflecting on my journey, I want to remind you that this transformative belief is a mindset within your grasp, waiting for you to embrace it. The moment you believe, the universe conspires to make it a reality.

I want to leave you with a heartfelt message. Remember that you hold the power to shape your life, to turn your dreams into reality. I've walked this transformative path and am here to support you in your journey, just as others have helped me. Feel free to reach out if you ever need guidance, motivation, or a helping hand. Together, we can embrace the belief that 'It's already done' and create a future filled with success, boundless achievement, and unwavering faith. Thank you for joining me on this empowering journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Unlocking the Potential of Time: Seizing the Day

Time, it's the stuff that makes our lives tick. It's always there, influencing everything from our past to our future. But here's the thing: many of us need to give it the attention it deserves. We yearn for more of it, lose track of it, and often procrastinate as if time were infinite. The truth is, it's not, and when we overlook its significance, we end up feeling held back and full of regrets.

 Denying the Impact of Time:

We've all been guilty of squandering hours on things that don't matter, distractions that take us away from our goals and passions. Counting the days without making those days count. We let time slip through our fingers, failing to invest it in things that light us up. Life's daily grind can sometimes make us forget about the magic of the moment, blurring the hours and days into a haze of routine. Life can change in the blink of an eye, yet we often live as if we have all the time in the world. We're masters of putting things off until "tomorrow" or some distant future date, delaying our dreams and goals.

As I write this blog, I am reminded of a period in my life that felt like I was squandering time. I was stuck, seeking my purpose, and didn't know where to start. I felt lost, helpless, and like my life was slipping away. I didn't realize then that I needed this time to do self-discovery to move forward. Today, as I look back on that period, I have a greater appreciation for time. It was time that allowed me on this journey of reflection so that I could step into my purpose, serving others to live their best lives. However, there are consequences to squandering your time.

 The Consequences:

Ignoring time's importance can lead to two significant outcomes. I can relate to both of these consequences, but I had a deep yearning and fire in my belly for more, and it would not allow me to settle for the status quo. Firstly, we inadvertently hold ourselves back by not recognizing how precious time is and miss out on growth and life's most exciting opportunities. Secondly, one of life's biggest regrets comes from not being true to ourselves, overworking, keeping our feelings locked away, and not chasing our dreams.

 TIME: How We Spend It

  • About 9 hours a day goes into work and work-related activities, shaping our professional path.

  • We give around 5 hours daily to leisure and sports, nurturing our well-being.

  • Sleep, which we should get 7-9 hours each night, often falls short, affecting our physical and mental health.

  • We spend over 4 hours on our smartphones daily, juggling work and play.

  • Household chores demand 1.3 hours daily, influencing our daily routines.

  • The daily commute eats up 27 minutes each way, shaping our schedules.

  • Exercise claims about 17 minutes of our day, a vital investment in our physical fitness.

  • Socializing face-to-face gets 38 minutes of our daily attention, feeding our relationships.

These statistics are based on general trends in time usage. They may vary among individuals and across different regions and are meant to provide a broad understanding of time allocation in modern society.

Now that we see how our time is divided let's talk about how to make the most of it to live the life we desire.

A Better Relationship with Time:

Regrets are part of life, but we have the power to minimize them and boost our happiness by forming a healthier bond with time:

  1. We realize that time is finite, which makes us cherish the moments and relationships we have right now.

  2. Embrace the here and now. Be fully in your experiences and relationships, savoring the richness of life.

  3. Time is valuable. Use it intentionally, focusing on activities that align with your life's purpose and dreams.

  4.   Knowing that time is limited can spark a fire, pushing you to prioritize your goals and dreams.

Time is an undeniable force in our lives, shaping our journey in countless ways. It's not about having more time; it's about making the most of our time. Embrace the power of time to craft the life you truly desire, and watch those regrets melt away.

Now, let me leave you with some food for thought. Are you spending your time on what truly matters to you? Can you recall a moment when time seemed to slip through your fingers? What did that teach you?

Please share your thoughts and experiences. Your journey and insights may inspire and support others to uncover their desired fulfillment.

It's your time to shine, so seize the day!
